LO 11 & 12 /30

My scrapping mission is still going along steadily now nearly half way on my LO challenge. Here are my latest.

This first LO was using a photo from 2012 and is of the flamingoes that live outside my caravan, they looked great covered in snow, so of course that is a scrap worthy moment!

This LO is of the first photo I took of me and my boyfriend in America, as many of you know who have been following my blog for a while. It was the first of about 3000 photos.

Also I am really happy to now have over 100 subscribers on my YouTube channel. You crafter are a friendly bunch, thanks for your support.

I must admit I have started a bit of a wish list of products I want, but I have not gone mad. I have my £20 Sarahs cards voucher I won on the December Sketch challenge so I am sure when a few of the new CHA bits are in I will make a few purchases, but it am going to try not to buy and paper... I did say try!!

Thanks for looking.

LO 9&10/30

Just wanted to drop by and update you on my 30 layout challenge. I am now a 3rd of the way through and am starting to embrace my stash. I definately feel I have got caught up in all the new collections out and been hoarding.

My 9th LO is a photo of my room at my parents and will be going in my 2012 project life. I used one of the frames from websters pages that I have been coverting since I brought them.

My 10th LO is one where I challenged myself to not use a doilie. I really love how this turned out. This will be going in my USA album.

I have completed process videos for these LO and they are on my YouTube channel.

Thanks for looking

LO 6/30 Whisky Love

Back with my 6th LO for this challenge, again scrapping old photos from 2012. This one is from the Famous Grouse whiskey distillery in Scotland.

I have been coverting these gold thickers since last year and decided they needed to be used, rather than just looked at!!

I used lots of bits I had out on my desk and in my embellishment bag. I am trying to make a dent in some of subscription kit bits and mixing them up with each tiger seems to be helping. I also used a tag I had stitched a couple of weeks ago, the colour thread went perfect.

I have made a process video for this LO if anyone is interested, or hello if you are visiting from YouTube. My first process video has reached 100 views so thanks for all you watched and commented.

Thanks for looking/watching and I am hoping to hit 10 LO by the weekend.

LO 5/30 My 1st process video

Well I am back and on a role with my 30 LO challenge, I am really happy to know that a few others have joined in on this challenge with their own magical number. For LO number 5 I have decided to do something that I have wanted to do for a while... I created a process video. For those of you that don't know what a process video is, it is something that I love to watch on YouTube, and is basically a filmed scrapbook page in the making. I have been watching these for about a year my favorites are Mercytiara, Nicolejones911 and of course Shimelle too.

I started off with a simple page, and my filming still needs to be worked on , but I hope my first attempt is not too horrid to watch. This page took me just under 30 minutes to make, which is pretty average when I am in the scrapping mood. I chose one of my photos from my Scotland holiday in 2012, I am still on mission catch up.

I love the colour wash line from pink paisley and have got many papers in recent kits and it work great as a background paper. Of course it includes my staple of dollies and wood veneers.

I hope that you are all having a great scrappy weekend and hopefully I will be back with more scrapping LO and videos soon.

Thanks for looking/watching

LO 4/30 Scrapology Challenge LO

I have been scrapping again, funny how I am always motivated when I set myself a spending ban challenge. Today I have used a sketch from the Scrapology January challenge, I found this challenge while reading the lovely Sheena's blog. The challenge was to use buttons/flair on the LO and use the sketch as inspiration.

Here is the sketch.

I used lots of layers again and fussed a lot with trying to do a banner at the top, but it just did not look right for my style. I have really enjoyed using sketches as a jumping off point.

I used a variety of collection, the background paper is from the Studio Calico Print Shop collection and the others are various bits from the Maggie Holmes collections. Two of the flair are from the Scraptastic kits and one an old American Crafts one.

I have a pile of LO that I need to do the journaling on, then they can go in my album. Does anyone else wait and do the journaling all in one sitting?

I have uploaded a video share of these LO on YouTube, I love YouTube and the videos you can find on there. My username is KITTYSCRAPPER I am hoping to film some videos of my process, when I can work out how to set my camera up,but for now it is shares and old hauls. I know some people dislike haul videos but I love them and am not bragging in any way.

I hope to be back with more LOs soon, thanks for looking.

LO 3/30

I thought I would try and make a habit of posting my 30 LOs as it will keep me in check. I nearly caved already as a lot if the new releases are already out, despite CHA not happening yet. I have only looked so far, but am trying to not look at all the blogs with sneaks on.

The LO I worked on over the last couple of days came about after I sorted out my thicker collection, and yes it is more of a collection! I had a sheet of thickers that were all coming off the sheet and I had used them a couple of times but they were not my favourite.

I started by sticking them on a sheet of paper, I did have a helper as my niece help to stick them on. I also got her to help me ink. I then covered them with some tissue paper and white paint and added mist, and left it to dry.

I then started my normal process of layering over the background I had created. It came together pretty quickly in under 40 minutes. I am really happy with how it turned out and I like the texture in the background. I have some more half used thickers so I might create another background and stash it for use in the future.

Please leave me a comment if you are also going to do the 30 Layout challenge.

Thanks for Looking

Thirty LO Challenge

I was speaking to a scrappy friend the other day (wrightboysmum) who is coming towards the end of her Thirty layout challenge and it has inspired me to do a second run. I was thinking about doing 50 but I think that might be pushing it. The point is that I need to complete 30 layouts before I can buy anymore stash, the only thing I will be getting is my scraptastic monthly kit and bi-monthly Crafty Templates kit. I have a lot of stash and need to use it rather than just storing it.

I was at the first Crop of 2014 yesterday and made a start of this challenge. I even sold some bits of paper as well, so that all helps. I managed to get two layouts done I between eating and gossiping.

The first LO was one of my man while on holiday in America. This two years ago nearly so I really need to get my butt moving and get these photos scrapped. We were both very excited to find a Zoltar machine, as featured in the BIG movie, I had to take a photo.

I added lots of layers, these papers are all from the Flea Market collection by Maggie Holmes.

The next LO was another America photo, this of a disasterous evening at the comedy club. Again I used papers from the Flea Market collection.

I added some of the embellishments from my stash, the fabric yo-yos and twine from the Crafty Templates kit. I love all the textures on this page.

I will be updating you throughout the challenge the last time I did it is completed my Paris album so hopefully this will help make a dent in my photo stash.
