Well when its called a challenge, sometimes it really means it. It was Tracey’s turn this month and she surprised us all when she brought along a mouse trap for us to alter, queue puzzled faces and questioning looks. It was then I headed over to Google and saw what it was all about.
I must admit, I dismantled mine pretty quickly and then painted it with white acrylic paint and that is how it stayed for a week. It was then that I decided to attack it ready for the crop at the weekend.
I carefully took all the parts off and covered the base with some Tim Holz paper that had been in my stash far to long and then set about altering it. In a recent stash swap off the Studio Calico forum I got a parcel of goodies and in that was some Prima resist canvas shapes, not something I would normally look at. I set about getting them out and colour washing them with Distress Inks. I attached them along with some Prima flowers and gems. I finished it off with a couple of word stickers from Tim Holz,a hanging loop and some doodles.
I am very happy with the result and am looking forward to seeing what the other girlies have done and what the next challenge is.
Thanks for Looking
