Its that time of the month again where I have to get my butt in gear for a challenge that I have been contemplating for a month, well this latest challenge I have had two months to think about it. I started off keen and a month of doing nothing and I sprung into action yesterday to complete it for the crop next month.
This is how is started (I had this book as a child so had to read it first!
It then got to this stage:
It sat like this for a month, I cut the frame in the pages and painted the whole thing white then, I was stuck. We decided at the crop that we would make this piece for ourselves so it could be more personalised.
I kept looking at the blank book and just got no inspiration, until the other day when I was looking through some old photos and found my parents wedding photos. It was then that I decided to use these photos and ideas began to form. I used the colours from the wedding, white and blue, and I got started.
I used some old book pages to make the spiral roses, I have not used this technique much as it is to 3D for a scrapbook page but enjoy it on this. I then created some tissue paper flowers that I learnt from fellow challenge girl Carol (link in sidebar). Then it was just a matter of a few bits of decoration using dies cut out on the BigShot from my growing stash and my beloved word stickers. I added some pearl gems on to the flowers to finish it off, I can not find my pin stash but do want to add a couple to the flower clusters. I finished it off with the date, after a text to my mum to find out, I knew the year but not that day.
I am really pleased with how it turned out, I find altered art difficult as my scrapbooking is very graphic in style. But this was meant to be a challenge, and it certainly was that!
The other girls normally post up on there blog so use the links in the sidebar to go check them out. I am wondering what will be next in line for the challenge .
Thanks for Looking.

I decided to start the months off with a LO of my 365 photos and a summary of the month in a few words.
January was inspired by a few LO I have seen with cut out titles. I used my circut to tackle this, I must use it more.
February was inspired by a piece on twopeasandabucket.com. I hand cut the starburst and piece it together from my scraps basket. Again I used a summary of words on the LO.
I can not link back to the LO that inspired me due to being on my mobile , but look at my Pintrest link in my sidebar and see it from there.
Thanks for looking.

I have eventually got around to scrapping some of this year. I sat the other evening and printed out a load of photos from this year. I included a few from my holiday, the bulk of these are being printed from photo box in one big order. I set about planning my album from this year using the many divided page protectors I have. So I think I have a plan of action.
I decided to make one divided page LO about the holiday in my main album. I set about with some of the Simple Stories destinations collection to create my first holiday page. I really like how it turned out and I am looking forward to getting to grips with this format.
Hopefully I will be back with better photos and blogging soon.
Thanks for Looking.

I have been on a recent stash busting mission as you know, due to a bit to many CHA release buys. But on the plus side I am pretty close to get all of my 2011 photos scrapped.
Here are a few of my recent LO’s I am trying to go through my really old papers and use them up, I am going to have another cull at the end of the month so any not used will be in the donation pile. All the photos are taken on my iphone as I still can not find my camera since moving back to the caravan.
This one was made using all new papers, American Craft Amy Tangerine, I am in love with that Camera Image, which I have in a stamp now and have over used already.
This LO was created with very ancient We Are Memory Keepers paper, this is also where my recent banner love started. I also used the new American Crafts Dear Lizzy camera stamp, and date stamp.
This continuing the banner love, all using very old WRMK scraps and a JB Journaling card.
This LO was completed as part of the new Shimelle class over at twopeasinabucket, A Hitchhikers Guide to Scrapbooking. I used concealed journaling on here. I also used a typewriter stamp from Papermania. I have started to use stamps as an embellishment on my pages now. I also used some very old transparencies on this page on the tag, I really am stash busting.
This page is another stash buster, and also using some of the thousand bits of Hello Kitty stationary I have in my collection. My boyfriend did comment on how my car accident was a strange thing to scrapbook, but I think it is good to remember and journal about the miserable stuff in life too, and it was an significant event.
This LO is a complete step away from my normal style, but I really love it. I took a big stack of my old papers to bed the other night and cut out elements from them, in a bid to get them used up. This one was made using the old American Crafts Dear Lizzy range, it also includes ink splatters and gems. I even carried on my new love of stamps for the title, love that alphabet.
I am please to say that all of these LO’s have been made in the last week, I am feeling very productive at the moment and am going to ride that wave while it is here.
Thanks for looking.

As I am now back in the caravan, my home for 10.5 months a year, I had to move my craft bits back in which had doubles if not tripled in quantity in the 1.5 months I was out. This was part of my decision to get using up my stash, I am then going to have a huge clear out and donate to a couple of friend who are crafters.
I have the corner of my front room set up with a bench seat and a table, so I can craft and watch TV or movies and loose myself in the hours after work, unfortunately it looked like this on Monday so I was not able to craft much till I had sorted it out. I still had a lot of Christmas stuff that needed to be put away somewhere for next year and homes to find for my many pizza boxes of new stuff.
I decided I would create a LO about my new scrapping space in the caravan, and of course I had to go with my Royal Britannia theme. I had a few bits of the Papermania Portobello Road collection so put that to use. I was reading a lot of one of the forums I visited the other day about the use of themed supplies, I must say every so often in my LO I love a themed page, but I do feel it would get a bit boring if my whole album looked like it.
I am really happy with how this turned out and I really loved the photos my friend Laura took of me scrapping back in October/November and I am glad they are now scrapped.

My mammoth scrap battle commences, I am trying to complete 2 LO’s every night in order to work through my photos from last year before my Photobox order comes through. So far it is going well. My scrap battle comes at the same time as me realising that maybe I went a bit crazy in the scrapbooking sales and I have a lot of new papers, stamps etc and lots of older stuff just sitting about. So for every 1 LO I complete with new stuff I have to make one with old stuff.
On Shimelle’s blog this week she has posted a starting point, I has pulled out a sheet of very loud BG June Bug and was not sure where I was going to take the LO, so decided to start with the starting point!! The starting point as you can see from the link started with a quadrant of papers, so here is my take on the starting point.
I must admit it is bright for what I have been doing lately, but I really like the end result, I even used up some glitter paper scraps, in case it was not dazzling enough. I have decided that handwritten journaling is so much easier so I have spent some time this week going back over my LO and adding journaling where I can.
I will be back with some more of the LO I have been creating soon. I have become mildly addicted to Instagram on my iphone and been sharing most of my LO’s on there, I have made some great friends on there too, all my photos currently are taken using my iphone,

Another month completed, I will try and keep it up for March. I want to try and include these in my yearly album. That would mean I have to print photos out from this year, the current count is 3056, that does include America though.
February included lots of Lego, mine and the Boyfriends new obsession!!
