Settling in and Scrapping

Well I think we are just about settled now (although we still have the other flat to finish clearing up). I also have my scrapping corner of the living room set up now, plus some new supplies from the QVC Craft Day came in the post today (crafting post is always fun)

While I was sorting my stash I found some pictures that I printed out during the summer, and with the wet/miserable weather today I decided to scrap a page to lighten my mood. Below is the results.....

I used a transparent to add a subtitle to the layout (the glue was still wet when I took the photo) I also rounded the corners of the photos for a neater look.

Well I am happy to have my first layout post up and about and that I will hopefully have alot more in 2010.

First Blog Post

Well I decided to bite the bullet and go for it and write a blog, I have been following many peoples blogs for a while and was really inspired to start my own. I thought just as 2009 was drawing to a close was as good of time as any.

I have been seriously scrapbooking since October 2009 but previous to that I kept many scrapbooks/sketchbook for my artwork (painting/installation). It has taken me a while to change my style as my sketchbooks were very very organic (messy) and now I spend hours on just one layout!

I am going to use this blog to record my scrapbooking achievements as well as hopefully take part in some of the challenges others run on their blogs ( another of my scrapping resolutions for 2010)

My first project I have planned for 2010 is to document our first flat(which we moved out of on 23/12/09) in a Maya Road coaster mini album. I have a stash ready to go and my crafting area is nearly up and running.
